Historic Homes and Gardens: Coburg Community Historic Art Contest

Call for Entries 2022

The Call

Our Heritage Committee is currently seeking entries for Historic Homes and Gardens: Coburg’s Community Historic Art Contest. Coburg’s historic downtown and surrounding neighborhoods showcase beautifully preserved buildings and honors the golden years of Coburg’s past through our historic walking tours. During National Historic Preservation Month in May, the Heritage Committee is planning to host an art show featuring artist’s perspectives of historic homes and gardens with artwork displayed at various local businesses throughout the month and culminating in an award event. Further details TBD.

Submissions will fall into the category of Historic Oregon homes and gardens. Homes and gardens portrayed can be existing or homes and gardens that are no longer present.

Submission Guidelines

Applications will be reviewed by a jury comprised of Coburg's Heritage Committee as well as the Mayor of Coburg. Artwork will be selected based on adherence to the stated theme, originality, and technical skill.  One winner will be selected.

The final REGISTRATION deadline is April 1, 2022.

Although the City of Coburg will make every attempt to protect and guard works of art being exhibited, we have no way of compensating artists for any losses or damages, should they occur.  Consequently, the artist will waive any such claim for damages and will not hold the City of Coburg and/or it's organizers responsible for damages or loss should they occur.
